Unlike a [[Metric fuckton]], a metric shit-ton is defined as the volume equal to a [[Europe|metric]] ton of [[shit]]. However as no one has designated a standard type of shit, varying shit densities can create errors in [[tanasinn|measurement]].

As a result, the shit-ton has generally been abandoned as an official measurement, with most adopting the newer [[fuckton]] as their standard measurement.
